Prime Global Network (PT. Prime Freight Indonesia) became the first Indonesian forwarder to obtain IATA CEIV Lithium Battery certification.

The IATA CEIV Lithium Battery certification is a global standard that comprehensively evaluates more than 200 criteria such as lithium battery transport procedures, facilities and equipment, risk management, compliance, and manpower development. Through this certification, Prime Global Network has been internationally recognized for its high safety and quality in lithium battery air transportation, and will be able to provide safer and more efficient transportation solutions in the future.

Indonesia is one of major lithium battery manufacturing companies and export hub in East Asia and is continuously increasing its lithium battery aviation volume. In particular, since international transportation of CEIV Lithium Batteries must consider safety, sustainability, and efficiency at the same time, the acquisition of CEIV Lithium Batteries certification by Prime Global Network is expected to contribute to creating a safe transportation environment for air logistics in Indonesia.

An official from Prime Global Network said, "This award will strengthen our competitiveness and provide new business opportunities to Korean companies. In addition to Indonesia's increase in lithium battery aviation volume, Korean companies expect more active business expansion in the global logistics market, which values safety and regulations."

Meanwhile, IATA's CEIV Lithium Battery (Center of Excellence for Independent Validators Lithium Battery) certification was first introduced in 2021 as an international standard certification that proves transportation expertise for companies belonging to the lithium battery aviation logistics chain. Lithium batteries are very difficult to transport and require strict management due to the risk of fire and explosion during international transportation. Accordingly, battery manufacturers require international standard certification when selecting logistics companies such as forwarders, carriers, and airlines.
